Decorations

After 21 Christmases I finally got around to making a tree skirt.
My sweet friend Amy sent me these crocheted stars. Love them!!
I hung four of them from my dining room windows along with some cinnamon ornaments.
The fifth one I hung with my baby stocking.
Mason made this nativity at VBS when he was about 8-yrs-old.
We used to use these big lights on our Christmas tree until the cats pulled some of them down one year and we ended up with burns in our carpet. Yikes! I threw the cord away and kept the bulbs to use as decoration. I had planned to cover them with glitter but never got around to it.
I couldn't find a tree topper at the store that I liked, so I had to make my own.
 Lucy from my Snoopy set
 Snoopy and Woodstock
Toilet paper tube nativity we made when the boys were younger
 Snowman from my mantle
Cute dollar store snowman
I bought this nativity on mine and Greg's first anniversary as a gift to myself (Greg was deployed at the time). Baby Jesus only has one arm now. I have no idea when that happened or what became of his arm.
The boys' stockings. I'm tired of them and want to make new ones. I say that every year.
 Love this Santa!
 Cinnamon ornaments smell so wonderful!
Cardinal placemat from Kohl's on my dining room table.
 Countdown-to-Santa blocks
The boys gave this plate to me years ago.
Santa salt and pepper shakers from Target and a Snoopy mug full of candy on my breakfast room table.
 Charlie Brown tree

  1. Did you make the little count-down block thingie? I love that!! And your jar full of big old tree bulbs! I always wanted to have a little cedar Christmas tree for my kitchen (because that's the kind Memaw always had here) & I wanted the big old fat painted bulbs like that to go on it. Reminds me so of when I was little & came down here to visit Memaw!

    1. I got the countdown blocks when LM was still in existence. Every year Jackie would do an auction to raise money to buy Christmas presents for families in need. The blocks were an auction item. I have no idea which LMer made them, though!
